Day Five of Ragbrai XXXV

Cedar Falls to Independence

Leaving our host family was hard. They were so nice to us, and took care of us and had breakfast ready for us in the morning. What a great stay - Thank You Very Much.

This thong was a team joke and we gave it to BooBoo. As you can see, he wore this thong on his ride for the day.

The thong came from Stinky's Bar and Grill, which was a great stop the day before.

TigDog was helping DraftQueen prep up for the day.

Great shot of LuDog and DraftQueen. You cannot ask for two nicer people to have on the team.

One of the original Team members - The Wabbit from Atlanta, Ga.

Holiday from Team Sniff and Draft Queen from the RedDogs socializing.

TheWenchFromHell and the DraftQueen. Chris (on the Left) will be in a body building Competition at the end of the summer and as you can see, is getting ready to win the competition.

ButtDr. Socializing in one of the hydration stops along the way.

Lisa from Team Hot. We always lov to see her along the way. Team Hot is one of the nicest teams on the ride.

At one of the watering holes, Team RedDog, Team Hot, and The Plungers and having a great time.

You will not find two nicer people on the ride. The Colorado RedDogs love to spend time with these two.

I belive this is a little wishful thinking on the part of the DraftQueen, What do you think!

Here comes another standard order for team RedDogs. Bringing them to the table are Denz and the RocketMan.

How could you not enjoy the day when you have people like TD, AmyDog, and the SaltyDog on your team!!!

HawkMan and LoneStar enjoying not only each other, but the day on Ragbrai.

Hey what is this!!!!! You see, we are a full service team. Here is I think what happend. Semi (On the right) just notices a dirty spec on JR, and as a good team member, Semi is cleaning JR! Now that is a Team Player.

Team Hot and Team RedDogs enjoying the social hour at one of the watering holes.

Well there is not just drinking going on all day, we do have to ride a little bit each day. You know - that is how we get from one place to another.

One of the local towns along the way. The towns really take care of you as you travel across Iowa.

Here are a couple of great shots of the Amish community working out in the field.

Sometimes the towns will ask us to help with bodyguards around the beer areas. Here is Haus taking his turn guarding the beer in one of the towns.

One nice thing about our team, is TD (on the right) is always looking over his team making sure we are having a great time and making sure our needs are being met.

Another great hydration stop for Team RedDogs.

Cheers to another Great Ragbrai - May there be many more to come!!!!!

There is always a smile on the face of the Reddogs.

Great shot of riders on the road to the next town in Iowa.

Here is a shot of our host family's house in Independence. We are getting ready for another great host family and evening of dining.

The Wabbit is getting his tent all ready for the night. There was a large storm the rolled in over the night dropping a couple inches of rain while we slept.

Before dinner, we all had to get into the pool at our host family's house. Semi did a great job being lifeguard.

Time for a great Team Picture. You know it is true - Dogs are great swimmers and enjoy the water.
